ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

A brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, affects the ability to carry out the simplest tasks.



ANXIETY DISORDERS

A condition in which a person has excessive worry and feelings of fear, dread, and uneasiness.



ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER

Attention deficit disorder (ADD) is an outdated term for what experts now call attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).



AUTISM

Autism, aka Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) , it is a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.



BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS

A pattern of disruptive behavior that generally falls within social norms and does not seriously impair a person’s functioning.



BIPOLAR DISORDERS

A mental illness that causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, activity levels, and concentration.



EATING DISORDERS

A type of serious mental health condition characterized by severe disturbances in eating behaviors and related thoughts and emotions.



OCD

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a common, chronic, and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (“obsessions“) and/or behaviors (“compulsions“) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over.



COUPLES PROBLEMS

Some of these common couples problems may include infidelity, loss of intimacy, communication difficulties, coping with stress, financial pressures, boundary violations, difficulty balancing individual and couple expectations, etc.



DEPRESSION

A common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.



DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE

The use of illegal drugs or the use of prescription or over-the-counter drugs or alcohol for purposes other than those for which they are meant to be used, or in excessive amounts. Substance abuse may lead to social, physical, emotional, and job-related problems.



COURT ORDERED OF INSURANCE
REVIEW EVALUATIONS

An evaluation conducted by a mental health professional. It’s used to evaluate your mental state and determine if you are currently in need of treatment as well as provide information about the individual’s mental health status and their potential risks.



PANIC DISORDER

An anxiety disorder characterized by unexpected and repeated episodes of intense fear accompanied by physical symptoms that may include chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, or abdominal distress.



PAIN PROBLEMS

aka Chronic pain, is defined as pain that carries on for longer than 12 weeks despite medication or treatment. Most people get back to normal after pain following an injury or operation. But sometimes the pain carries on for longer or comes on without any history of an injury or operation.



SCHIZOPHRENIA

A mental disorder characterized by disruptions in thought processes, perceptions, emotional responsiveness, and social interactions.



PSYCHOSOMATIC CONDITIONS

A psychological condition involving the occurrence of physical symptoms, usually lacking a medical explanation.



COMPLEX PHYSICAL / PSYCHOSOMATIC CONDITIONS

Same thing as the one before.
